*Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI)* is a Christian organization of lay businessmen founded in the United States of America in 1952 by Demos Shakarian. It is one of the largest networks of Christian businessmen in the world, with about 160 nations and nearly 8,000 chapters.
Every word in the name FGBMFI is important:
- FULL GOSPEL: the totality of the word of God as enshrined in the Holy Bible
- BUSINESS MEN: Laymen, ordinary people, becoming extraordinary in the hands of God.
- FELLOWSHIP: A group of people who love to get together and witness the love,
the compassion, the reality of Jesus Christ.
- INTERNATIONAL: The whole world. All flesh. A deep concern for every nation and every race.
The organization’s primary strategy is executed on the local level, with the structure of the organization designed to push resources to the local level and equip members to impact their local community or city. FGBMFI aims to bring interest to the Christian gospel and transform people’s lives by fulfilling their full God-given potential.
In Nigeria, we have over 3,500 chapters. The summary of our mission is:
* calling men back to God; and
* teaching and equipping them to fulfill the great commission of reconciling men to Him.
Women are also members, as men take their wives along as well as ladies who identify with the vision of reaching men for Christ.
We meet in neutral grounds such as hotels, event centres, etc to provide non-denominational atmosphere where members meet to tell stories of new and better lives upon their encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ.
We meet to make new friends and exchange business ideas. You can be part of this great experience by joining a chapter near you.
