Wikimedia Sindh is a non-profit organization working under the umbrella of Wikimedia Foundation to promote and work on the Sindhi language and culture.
Sindhi Wikimedians was founded by JogiAsad Rajpar in 2015, is a community of people who are involved in the Sindhi Wikimedia projects, such as Sindhi Wikipedia, Sindhi Wiktionary, and Sindhi Wikisource. The user group aims to promote the Sindhi language and culture through Wikimedia platforms, and to increase the awareness and participation of the Sindhi community in the Wikimedia movement. Some of the activities of the Wikimedia Sindh include:
* Organizing meetups, events, and collaborations with other Wikimedia affiliates and organizations.
* Conducting outreach programs, workshops, and edit-a-thons to train and recruit new editors and contributors.
* Creating and improving content on Sindhi Wikimedia projects, especially on topics related to Sindh, its history, culture, literature, and people.
* Participating in global Wikimedia campaigns and initiatives, such as Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves Folklore, Feminism And Folklore, Wikipedia Asian Month and WikiGap.
Objectives
* To enrich Sindhi Wikipedia.
To introduce Sindhi Wikipedia to the Sindhi people and Sindhi diaspora; make awareness about Wikipedia in general across Pakistan, Indian Sindhi and Sindhi diaspora community.
* To encourage people to become contributors on Wikipedia in general and in Sindhi Wikipedia.
* To make friendship and collaboration with other Wiki communities and other institutions, universities or organisations.
To develop the other Wikimedia projects in Sindhi Language.
