The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), situated in Gandhinagar, offers the M.A. Criminology with Specialization in Forensic Psychology and the integrated BA-MA Criminology courses. The curriculum familiarizes students with the aspects of the criminal justice system, the effects, and aetiology of crime.
This programme equips students with the knowledge and skill sets needed to be efficient within government institutions of the criminal justice system, as well as private organizations addressing issues within the field of criminology. To provide a holistic understanding of crime, criminal behavior, and preventive strategies, students are exposed to knowledge from various scientific disciplines.
The effective teaching of criminology requires practical experience, and NFSU does just that. Concepts in criminology are reinforced through hands-on learning such as field visits to governmental institutions of the criminal justice system, crime scene reconstruction and investigation, and exposure to cutting-edge technologies such as the Brain Electrical Oscillation Signature Profiling (BEOS) and Layered Voice Analysis (LVA™).
