Despite urban spaces accounting for USD 13.5 billion of India’s USD 20 billion residential rental market, according to a report by PricewaterhouseCoopers, most renters face a lack of good, affordable options.
While still in college, Amit Rohatgi, Arti Rohatgi, and Apoorv Rohatgi discovered a huge gap in quality accommodation for students and working professionals. This inspired them to found Blossom Stayz soon after graduating.
Even though they had a clear aim, building the business wasn’t simple.
“It’s been an exciting journey so far and a challenging one too,” says Apoorv. “As we grow, creating better customer service is inevitable. With our network growing every month we face many challenges like customer support, delivering and maintaining good customer satisfaction.”
This is where the WhatsApp Business app has helped Blossom Stayz with multiple utilitarian tasks like file sharing, as well as photo and contacts sharing. Apoorv says they also use WhatsApp Web to help the teams respond to customer queries more efficiently without needing to shift to a mobile device.
He also says that the WhatsApp Business app has become an integral part of their sales process as it allows them to reach potential customers with a personal touch, which directly builds trust and a connection. That includes international customers as well.
“People around the world use WhatsApp and this has enabled our teams to give people outside India a virtual video tour of our properties and helps us close more international clients,” says Apoorv.
As Blossom Stayz continues to grow and expand, they’ve found an ally in the WhatsApp Business app.
