Being industrialists, Ishu Bansal and Amit Punaini faced a lot of problems when it came to the transportation of goods.
It turns out they weren't alone.
To help overcome the challenge for themselves and others, they launched TruckSuvidha in 2015, which streamlines the process of booking a truck by bringing all the players online. With the help of the Haryana-based company, people can book loads on a real-time basis or book trucks across India. And truckers/transporters and related entities can get advance bookings for their trucks and share this information. TruckSuvidha also provides online payment infrastructure for fleet owners.
"The word Suvidha suggests we are here to help. We bring all stakeholders together under a single roof, to provide better quality and service," says Ishu.
TruckSuvidha uses the WhatsApp Business app to communicate with its users, who are more comfortable using WhatsApp than email. They find the quick replies feature and business profile most useful.
“WhatsApp Business gives users more confidence that they are talking to a business rather than an individual,” says Ishu. Furthermore, he adds, “Earlier we were using only SMS and email-based notifications which were not effective as most people in the logistics industry are not comfortable with technology. But with WhatsApp, they are able to respond quickly and easily.”
The revenues of the organization have doubled and user base has increased by 48 percent over the last few years. After TruckSuvidha started using WhatsApp, they have observed better turnaround time of fleet owners and improved customer service.
From solving their own problems to coming up with a solution that helps the entire logistics industry, TruckSuvidha’s founders have made a once bumpy road much smoother.
