As a young girl Briseyda “Bryss” del Ángel Martínez loved getting dressed up, painting her nails, and looking good. Years later, she has turned her passion into a flourishing business: Nails Bryss.
A bright spot in Veracruz City, Mexico, Nails Bryss is popular for manicures, pedicures, and nail care workshops. Bryss sees customers' nails as a canvas for mini works of art. “Here in my salon I use a phrase,” she says. “Your smile is my satisfaction.”
Bryss runs her appointment-only salon with the help of the WhatsApp Business app.
“I discovered WhatsApp Business in 2018 and since then it has facilitated, well, practically my life,” Bryss says.
Bryss books more than 95 percent of her clients’ appointments via the WhatsApp Business app. The labels feature helps her easily organize each client-specific chat, track popular treatments, and stay on top of services and payments due. The WhatsApp Business app's away message feature also helps Bryss respond to customers while she has her hands full tending to clients and after business hours.
Nails Bryss client Arely Cazares loves how Bryss uses WhatsApp to send out messages about last-minute openings in her schedule. “It’s marvelous because I can come and get my nails decorated in the moment that she is available,” she says. “And I don’t have to be there waiting, which means I can focus on my other activities.”
Another client, Cinthia Rojas, uses WhatsApp to request particular treatments from Bryss. “I send photos of what I'd like done, and ask how much it will cost,” she says, adding that Bryss is always prompt with her replies.
One day Bryss hopes to grow her salon and, perhaps, even own a nail academy. But for now, her customers come first.
