“My admins are the heart and soul of the community and better tools are developing every day. I can attest to this. Since 2016, the tools have always been improving.”

When you’re sleep deprived and covered in baby vomit, being a new father can feel a little overwhelming… but an online community is here to help.
Soy Super Papá, or in English - I’m a Super Dad - is a Spanish language forum on active fatherhood.
The idea was born in 2016, when Sergio Rosario Diaz' wife told him she was pregnant.
He immediately began searching for information on how to become the best dad he could be, but there was a lack of information and engagement on the topic in Spanish.
He decided to fill the void and create something for others like him, embarking on the biggest challenge and responsibility of their lives.
“The closed Facebook group for fathers only has 70K members, however our page has 310K and it ranges from dads, moms, grandparents, and uncles - a whole community that is actively looking for new and alternative ways to help raise children. The engagement on that page alone is around 45 million users engaged every month”, Sergio explains.
WhatsApp Communities is what brings them together, connecting fathers in twenty two countries and providing a safe haven to open their hearts and minds without being judged.
“Privacy is a must. We need a safe atmosphere for a stigmatized community,” he says.
Communities provide that safe space, as well as allowing more efficient announcements, better community feedback and increased participation… and the experience is improving all the time.
“My admins are the heart and soul of the community and better tools are developing every day. I can attest to this. Since 2016, the tools have always been improving.”
It means he can focus on his dream of improving resources for community members and empowering others to create similar communities and opportunities around the world.
“Every community is different and as a lead or creator, your responsibility is to know your community as if it was your child. Their needs are unique and as leaders, our focus should always be on improving the user experience.”
